March 07, 2010 - The Healing Process
We are about to hit the road again and see some of your beautiful faces. But first we are going to meet up in Tulsa and continue to work on songs for our next record! We are excited to share our new music with all of you and we hope you continue to join us on our musical journey. Love Life! Joey
March 02, 2010 - Super excited about this!
I love watching movies. One of my most favorite thing to do. I am super excited about this new Clash of the Titans. It looks epic. I am talking 300 and Gladiator kind of epic. I am also really interested because I've been reading all the Percy Jackson and the Olympian books lately which discuss the old greek gods as well. So I hope this movie don't let me down. Anybody want to go with me? Hit me up sgd@starsgodim.com. Let's do this!

February 23, 2010 - Just enjoying life!
Hey everybody! How have you all been doing? I really miss you guys. Cannot wait to get back on the road and see some of you. Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. I've just been enjoying life and doing some of my favorite things. I started getting backing in shape and eating healthier. I've been taking morning runs which I love because its quite. Only me and the bird songs. Cold though, but hey if Rocky can train in the the snow of Russia I can handle Tulsa, OK. Been hitting some light resistance training as well. I don't want to get huge again, just toned and sexy. So I've been so sore this last week I can barely move. The first day I ran I thought I was going to die. A week later it doesn't hurt so much. I've been reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. On book 3 The Titans Cruse right now. Yeah, I am a nerd. I don't care. I like kid books. So that's been my like this last week. I hope you have been enjoying your life as well. We will be playing a charity show in Oklahoma City this coming Saturday. SGD back in action! Have a good day. Peace, Michael
February 16, 2010 - A new me!
Hey everybody. I hope you've been well. Did you have a good Valentines Day or Singles Awareness Day, as Chris likes to call it? I went and watched Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was cool, but I was a bit dissappointed. They went strayed very far from the book. This last Friday SGD had a hometown show at the Cain's Ballroom with 104.5 The Edge. We tried out a few new tunes "Better This Way" and "Far From Over You" and worked up some new transitions. Its always fun playing for the hometown. Special thanks to the Edge and all who came out. On Saturday we went up to Chanute, KS which is one of our most favorite places of all. There are just good people there. The show was just super fun. Our good buddy Steve Krause from the top 40 station KYSN (Joplin) came down to hang with us. His station has spun Crazy over 300 times as of now. Thank you Steve and KYSN! After the show I rocked a cranberry italian soda and this hawaiian hotdog. What a nice weekend.
On Sunday I made a commitment to myself to get back in shape. I am starting to eat healthy, run, and do some resistance training. I am not looking to get huge like days past. Just trim and sexy lol. Help keep me motivated people. Check out this old pic of me when I was huge and played hard rock. Yes, that is my long hair, beard, and big arms lol. Peace and love, Michael
February 09, 2010 - Our get away!
After the Mayercraft cruise we went on with John Mayer back in April 2009 we've gotten in the habit of going on regular cruises to escape the crazy life of celebrity. While we absolutely love and appreciate everyone of our fans everyonce in a while our hands need a break of autograph signing and our eyes need a rest from the camera flashes. Just last week a few of us jumped on the Royal Caribbean ship 'Monarch of the Seas' headed to the Bahamas. The greatest part of being on a cruise is the food! At lunch they have a huge buffet with many choices and a big assortment of deserts. The dinner menu always has several appetizer, main course, and desert choices and the great thing is you can order one of each if you want. By chance an old friend of mine by the name of Sean Algier sat at our dinner table each night. He was just on the latest Biggest Loser and after losing over 100 pounds was looking great. My favorite part of being on a cruise ship is the soft serve ice cream. I had to have a few of those each day. The ship stopped for a day in Nassau, Bahamas and I just went on a solo walk downtown to clear my mind. I almost bought a real Rolox for only $60. I should have done it. I guess I need to go on another cruise soon. We just got back this last Sunday. Now we are in practice mode and gearing up for our three shows this week. See some of you soon! Below are a few pics from my cruise. Now doesn't that look relaxing. I was reading a book under a palm tree on that very beach. I recommend you go on a cruise this year! -Michael and SGD
February 01, 2010 - Escaping the cold!
Just a few days ago we had freezing rain and sleet in Tulsa. And then a day of heavy snow fall. The news channels were talking about possible power outages all across the state. So my family and I had candles, flashlights, and firewood all set out and ready to go. Thankfully the power held up. This is how it looked out my front window this last Saturday...
Needless to say I didn't leave the house even once. So what did I do about it all.....turn the heat up....no.....bundle up with blankets....no.....put on thermal underwear, big jacket, gloves, and a beanie...no....I booked a cabin on a cruise liner and I am going to the Bahamas. Word! Be back Friday. Stay warm :) -Michael
January 28, 2010 - This is such hard work!
Guys, this last week has been crazy. Being in a band is such hard work. You guys don't even know. We had to look through tons of new band photographs and pick out the best. Hey, that is more work than you realize. Very stressful. BUT, I think we have the money shot! We finalized it tonight. We plan to post it very soon on our Facebook.com/starsgodim for the first time.
Then to top it all off Joey and I HAVE to go on a cruise this Sunday until Feb 5 to the Bahamas. In addition to Stars Go Dim we do marketing consulting for artists and several music related companies. One of our clients is a music cruise company. All in a hard days work! Peace, Michael
January 19, 2010 - Nashville to Los Angeles!
Last Sunday we all flew into Nashville TN, to start recording new SGD demos at Lester’s new studio (Off the Wall Studios). The studio’s co-owner, Robert Venable and his Family were nice enough to let us crash at their home all week. We were on a mission. Michael had the whole week planned out for us. Record on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, take new band photos on Wednesday, a live chat with you all, and then fly to Los Angeles on Thursday. Well, our plans sort of hit a snag. On Tuesday night, after a very productive session at the studio and some delicious Mellow Mushroom pizza, Chris and Lester got horribly sick. Chris by far got sicker than Lester. On Wednesday morning I had to take Chris to the doctor and we had to cancel our photo shoot and live chat. At first we thought it was food poisoning since they both mysteriously got sick around the same time, but on Thursday night, Michael came down with the bug. So I guess Mellow Mushroom might be off the hook (But I am sure Chris won’t be eating there anytime soon). Our stay wasn’t a total bust. We got all the music recorded for 5 new songs: Far From Over You, Eva, Seventeen, Not A Lover, and Better This Way. We also were fortunate to get our photographer, designer, and hair/make up crew to reschedule us on Thursday morning. We got some great new band photos and hopefully we will post them soon. We want again thank Robyn, Cameron, and Jeff Garner and his staff for helping us pull this photo shoot off. Also, we want to give a big thanks to the Venable’s for putting up with our sickness and for Amanda for not wanting to kill us after we almost lost their cat Simba. We love you all!!!
More >January 11, 2010 - Play "Get Over It" the game!
We just ran across this site called Jamlegend.com and they had "Get Over It" set up as a Guitar Hero type game. "Get Over It" had over 44K plays. Crazy. See if you can get the high score.
January 06, 2010 - This is too cute!
We sure have some amazing fans. This girl singing "You've Got Me" is too cute. We are constantly humbled by all of your support and love. Thanks so much. Keep them coming!
